How to make Fruit Salad to Die For
For the syrup:
40 cl of water
120g brown sugar
zest and juice of an unwaxed orange
zest and juice of ½ untreated lemon
4 star anise
2 sticks of El Vanillo natural vanilla, split in half
2 cinnamon sticks
For the rest :
2 or 3 nectarines
1 mango cheek
Bring the water and sugar to a boil.
Add all the other ingredients for the syrup and simmer gently for ten minutes.
During this time, wash and cut the nectarines and peel and cut the other fruits.
Do not cut them too small to prevent them from falling apart.
When the ten minutes have passed, filter then pour the syrup over the fruit and mix.
Let them marinate in the syrup before serving.
